SOL extended after small claims judgment vacated?

I just looked up my Household case, they last verified 9/18/01 and there's no way I'll get to file by 9/18.

Sued in small claims last year, but the judgment was vacated since apparently they weren't served properly. They continued to report until they finally deleted in response to that suit last year and I DO have a letter from them promising deletion 2 years ago. They just ignored their own promise.

Any comment on the SOL and violations? I sure wished I had disputed with the bureaus again before I sued.

Can you re-request an investigation through the CRA's, using the letter from Household (stating that they were going to remove this) as "new information" regarding the entry?

If you file on line, via fax or Fed-Ex, it might give you one last shot at removing it.

They deleted last year, that's the problem. I just read through my file. The notification of the default judgment was returned undeliverable. So I wrote a PFB letter and it was answered by the same guy who had signed their promise to delete a year earlier. I disputed again and they deleted.

If the notice of a lawsuit and default judgment were never served, would that make it a "void" judgment?

From what I'm finding, a "void" judgment has no SOL and can be re-filed at any time.

If I understand you correctly, the vacated judgment doesn't count, so the SOL expired.
