Experian hires an attorney...

I received a message on my answering machine that Jones, Day is representing Experian in this lawsuit. They requested a thirty day extension to file their answer, and I have agreed. A Stipulation was filed to that effect giving them until June 22, 2002.

I have to say I'm relieved that they did not default and am looking forward to seeing how this case progresses.

As a side note, it was interesting to see that Jones, Day is the largest law firm in the United States with more than 24 offices world wide. Additionally, their firm was named as having the "Best Litigation Department" by American Lawyer Magazine. Nothing like bringing out the big guns...lol. I confess that initially I was a bit intimidated, but then I figured that since the associate handling this case only passed the bar in the past year or two, I probably have just about as much experience in federal court as he does...lol. Besides...if I didn't feel I had a good case, I would never have filed.

Wish me luck!
